Kevin Doyle gets one over Robbie Keane as Colorado knock LA Galaxy out of MLS Cup

Colorado Rapids will face the Seattle Sounders in the Western Conference final.
Republic of Ireland striker Kevin Doyle scored in Sunday evening's penalty shootout, as Colorado knocked LA Galaxy of of the end-of-season MLS Cup.
The Wexford native came out on top in the battle of the Irish strikers, as the Denver-based side defeated Robbie Keane's LA Galaxy, the five-time MLS Cup champions.
Doyle started Sunday's Western Conference semi-final second leg, as the Rapids began the game with a 1-0 first-leg deficit, but levelled the tie after half-an-hour through Shkelzen Gashi. The remaining hour of normal time, plus extra-time could not separate the sides in Denver.
While Keane failed to take a penalty in the shootout, Doyle scored the Rapids' first in their 3-1 win, as goalkeeper Tim Howard saved two of LA's four attempts.

After the game, Doyle took to Twitter, to mock LA Galaxy manager Bruce Arena's comments about the altitude. Denver is known in America as the "mile-high city" and is one of the highest cities in the country.
