Adobe's 'Photoshop for audio' lets you add words that were never even spoken

Adobe is working on a piece of software described as “Photoshop for audio” – and while it’s not clear whether it will ever see the light of day, it’s difficult not to imagine one of its stand-out features not catching on.
The software was shown briefly at the Adobe Max conference, as reported by Creative Bloq, and a demonstration showed something potentially very useful for podcasters and musicians.
A clip from a speech was cued up and after simply typing a few extra words into a text edit box, those words appeared in the speech, in the exact same voice.

Zeyu Jin, who showcased the software known as Project VoCo, said just 20 minutes of speech were needed before VoCo could then add new words using the correct voice.
But while there are tons of potentially positive uses for this software, it’s also easy to imagine just as many scenarios where it could be used to cause trouble.
Let’s wait and see whether Adobe pushes forwards with it…
