If you're looking for a Borderlands fix, or haven't played the game before (for shame!) The Handsome Collection is currently totally free on Xbox One.
This generous set includes Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel with some fancy remastering and all their included DLC. That's a heck of a lot of hours of gaming, across large worlds filled with cartoonish looking characters which you can kill with millions of different unique weapons.
It's all part of an Xbox promotion for free multiplayer madness - so you don't even need an Xbox Live Gold account to muck in with your friends.
The only catch (because of course there is one) is that the game won't be free after the 30th of October. Still that's plenty of time to have some fun with the many different classes, and to spend a moment thinking about whether you'll play as Claptrap before finding the obvious solution.
Always play as Claptrap.
